RESOLUTION

Most people run to church

just to shout happy new year

but say good bye to the church

for the rest of the year

till another crossover service. 

Most people run to church

just to pray their way into the new year

but they soon forget 

the mistakes they made in the previous year

how they can do thing better in the new year. 

Just like a man that beholds himself in a mirror

and he forget how he looks like

they forget the lessons they learnt from last year's mistake

and all they want to do

is to shout happy new year

display fireworks and congratulate friends and family. 

Lets be realistic 

It is just the calender that changed

what then is your plan for this year? 

are you still an old person in a new year? 

Aunty Tawa shouted happy new year

but her mouth is still sharp like razor

brother sule shouted happy new year

but his buttocks does not sit in his house

His legs goes from one woman's house to another. 

What are your plans? 

if the world has not ended

another year will come

your life will always remain the same every year

if you fail to plan 

and those that fail to plan

you are planning to fail.
